KMI Wire and Cable No Longer a Myth
What’s the greatest invention of all time in your opinion ?
If people ask me that kind of question, I will soon answer a LIGHT BULB. Thomas Alva Edison invented a light bulb after more than 10,000 attempts according to some reports.
One day, a reporter asked him “Thomas, how does it feels to failed 10,000 times ?”
Edison answered, “I haven’t failed, I just found 10,000 ways that don’t work. When I have eliminated the ways that will not work, I will find the way that will work.”
Edison’s reply are one of the most famous quotes in this century. I can’t imagine a life without light. We need light for almost all of our activities such as reading, driving a car, eating, bathing, and many more. Most lights need electricity to turn it on, and that’s why electricity is one of the basic needs that many (if not all) people need. We all know without electricity, life could be quite miserable. We can’t use our notebook, listening to IPOD, watching a TV, charge our smartphone, etc.
Sadly, not all Indonesian people enjoy adequate electricity in their region. Their light source depending on sun and candle at the night.
Our President, Mr. Joko Widodo made electricity as one of his main priority for this country. His most ambitious plan is 35.000 MW project.
“35.000 MW project is not an easy target, need hardwork to achieved it. An adequate electricity is a key to achieve economy target and people welfare.” – President Joko Widodo (7 April 2015) We at Sucorinvest Asset Management believe that KMI WIRE (KBLI) will benefited from this mega project since every power plant, transmission, trafo will need a lot of cable. Sure, some can argue that this project has execution risk, honestly we also think government could only achieved 20.000 MW by 2019, and lately we saw huge improvement on development of this project.
